Lemon balm is an aromatic plant of the Mediterranean countries. The ancient Greeks used it already in medicine 2,000 years ago. 

Today it is still widely used as it has many medicinal properties. It is initially a stimulant of the body and spirit. It is tonic for the heart, brain, the digestive system and the uterus. 

Therefore it is ideal for period pain. Lemon balm was also considered helpful for melancholy.
